About this event

The EIC is happy to announce the Breakfast in Rio - Offshore E&P Opportunities with Seatrium and Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO)

Seatrium, created after the merger of Sembcorp Marine and Keppel Offshore & Marine in 2023, stands out as a leading global player with extensive engineering expertise  in the offshore, marine and energy indsutries, having gained key presence in the region over the decades. Seatrium has three operational shipyards in Brazil: BrasFELS (in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro), Jurong Aracruz (in Aracruz, Espírito Santo) and Singmarine (in Navegantes, Santa Catarina).

In Brazil, the company's ever growing portfolio with Petrobras presently involves the provision of EPC services for four new floaters to produce over 850,000 barrels of oil per day across pre-salt fields Búzios and Mero. Additionally, in early 2024, the operator lined up Seatrium for two 225,000 b/d newbuild FPSO units to be deployed in Atapu (P-84) and Sépia (P-85), another two of Petrobras' pre-salt fields in the Santos basin.

Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) is a prominent provider of offshore maritime services with a strong global presence. The company operates through various subsidiaries, including BRAM Offshore, and has established key infrastructure in Brazil, such as the Navship shipyard and the Brasil Port base at Port of Açu.

In Brazil, ECO supports major players in the oil and gas sector, such as Petrobras, providing a range of services that include platform supply, anchor handling, and subsea support. The company also operates vessels equipped with advanced technologies to meet operational and environmental standards.
